Like other conference call applications such as zoom meeting, Webex provides a screen-sharing facility with many valuable features. Today’s business meetings demand instant access to valuable data presented by specific applications or files such as worksheets with graphs, PowerPoint slides, videos, images, webpages, etc. In Webex, you can share your desktop screen, any opened window of your system, and any file from your computer. Besides these, you can also use the whiteboard to write down anything on the screen and share a camera connected to your pc through USB. Follow the steps below to share the screen on Webex.
Step-1:
First, click the Share button while in a meeting. Previously this button was hidden. Now you can quickly locate it in the bottom menu bar.
The below dialogue box will appear with a few options. For an explanation, we will describe those as A, B, C & D.
Option-A (Screen or Application): With this option, you can either share any of your opened applications on your desktop or your entire desktop screen. To share an application, select any application listed on the right side of the tab, and to share the screen, select Screen-1 from the left side of the tab.
Option- B (File): This option will allow you to share any file like a spreadsheet, video, image, Pdf, or PowerPoint Slide from your desktop. Click on File, then click Share File to browse any file on your Hard Drive.
Option-C (White Board): If you want to write down something on the screen and show the same to the other members, then this option can help you do that. A digitizer or digital pen can help you in this case.
Step-2:
Choose any options that serve your purpose, and finally, click Share. Your screen or file will be visible to all other meeting members.
Step-3: To Stop Sharing, hover over your monitor’s top middle. A sharing menu with several options like below will appear. Click Stop Sharing.
